Suede have just announced an exciting opportunity on their Facebook page for fans to sing or shout for their new record.
We would like to invite you to be part of the new Suede record. Anyone who wants to get involved should submit a voice recording. For now we can say no more than that, but if you are game to proceed with this scant information then read on….…
PREPARATION: Please download and listen to the audio guide here: https://www.dropbox.com/.../INSTRUCTIONS%20-%20Suede... They will automatically download to your computer when you hit the link.
Please make sure there’s no background noise from radios, TV's or fridges. Please listen to this somewhere quiet on headphones on, say, a stereo or a laptop, and record your voice on a phone, using the Recorder app on Android, or Voice Memos on an iPhone, or something similar.
Make sure the phone isn’t too close to you when you’re recording, otherwise the sound will be distorted and we won’t be able to use it. Please check this before you send anything to us. It’s fine if it’s quiet, as we can always turn you up. You can do a practice recording to check it sounds OK if you have time.
RECORDING: 1. Listen to our audio guide (on a stereo, computer or laptop) while wearing headphones 2. Start recording your voice on your phone 3. Playback our recording 4. Listen to the instructions 5. Sing and shout along when we ask you to 6. When you get to the end, stop your voice recording 7. Check your recording is…(a) just your voice, and…(b) not too loud (it would sound distorted) 8. …and if it’s ok and you’re happy with it, send us the result to: suedefansaudio@gmail.com
Everything you send in will be gratefully received. If you can do 2 or even 3 recordings, that would be even better. If you have any questions, we’ll try to clarify in the DM’s.
When you return the recording to us please include confirmation that you agree that all rights in your recording are assigned to Suede in perpetuity and you agree that Suede may use the recording in any manner whatsoever in all media exclusively throughout the world in perpetuity. I’m afraid we won’t be able to use your contribution without the confirmation.
