‘Modern Music Masters – Suede’, is the sixth in the series of short books about the bands that you know and love, or are discovering for the first time. The book follows Suede from their humble beginnings all the way to the top of the charts, covering the many trials and tribulations that littered their incredible, singular journey to becoming one of British music’s most iconic bands.

Written as guides to the band’s story, the books in the ‘Modern Music Masters’ series are far from exhaustive, but being structured around their official releases, they bring a new perspective to a band’s work, putting them in a social and historical context.

Originally from Reading in the UK, but now living in Wellington New Zealand, Tom Boniface-Webb is creator of ‘Modern Music Masters’, and the author of four of the six books in the series. He is also the co-author of ‘I Was Britpopped: the A-Z Guide to Britpop’, published in 2017 through Valley Press. Written for us by author Tom Boniface-Webb.
