Roundup of Suedeworld 2022

What a phenomenal year 2022 has been for Suede and for us fans.

We begin on 5th March 2022 with Songs In The Key of London - an homage to London through song to celebrate The Barbican's 40th anniversary.

Mat Osman treated us to 4 book events to promote his collaboration on England On Fire with Stephen Ellcock.

3rd May - West End Lane Bookshop, London

9th June - Foyles, London

28th June - Conway Hall, London

15th December - Wanstead Tap.

Finally the 20th Anniversary European Coming Up tour kicked off on 5th May to 23rd May.

We celebrated The Drowners 30th Anniversary in Copenhagen.

The tour ended on 23rd May in Brussels where we celebrated Simon's birthday and had a cake specially made.

'She Still Leads Me On' was the 1st single released & premiered live on 6 Music.

Plus Suede livestreamed their first play of 'She Still Leads Me On' live with an audience at the Brussels gig and Suede revealed their new album would be called 'Autofiction'.


Suede held a secret film video shoot with some lucky fans at The Vaults on 27th May.

3rd August, Suede premiered '15 Again' on 6 Music with Steve Lamacq.


17th August - Autofiction film premiered. This was the result of the video shoot at The Vaults recorded in May.


2nd September - That Boy On A Stage premiered on 6 Music with Steve Lamacq

13th September - Suede announce joint headlining North American Tour with The Manics


15th September - Suede record session for Maida Vale to celebrate 6 Music's 20th Anniversary

Suede covered Nadine Shah's 'Fool'.


20th September - Suede session at Absolute Radio with Danielle Perry


21st September - NME Interview with Brett & Mat recorded at The Social

1st October - Singapore Grand Prix


5th & 6th October Suede played the Electric Ballroom in Camden.


Fans were treated to a special soundcheck on 5th October at the Electric Ballroom.

Then Suede headed over to Europe for some special intimate shows.

7th December

Suede played the first Sunset Sessions live for Virgin Radio with an intimate audience of about 150 fans.


After discovering that our The Drowners Bridge blue plaque had been vandalised, we made a special trip on 28th December to put up our new plaque.
