"I'm so excited about We Need To Talk About Kevin. It's an incredible art form." - Brett Anderson, GQ Magazine, 29th March 2012
Tilda is excellent in her role as Eva, a mother who finds it hard to bond with her son. Raising the question of nurture versus nature. The clever editing of the film echoes Eva's scattered mind as we are guided through the present with flashbacks that give us an overview of the mother/ son relationship and events leading to her son's eventual horrific actions and also dealing with their aftermath. The film never addresses the title of the film and we, including Eva, don't find out why her son did what he did. We are left with more questions than answers. The point being that there is no point.
