I've started my reps on this album over the last couple of days. Where does it fall for you in their discography? What are your personal highlights and lowlights..? And of course...'Elephant Man' is here too.
Your blog is very informative and well-written. I’ve been using Arden Uni Login for a while now, and I’m impressed by its simplicity. It’s much better than other university portals I’ve used before.
I like it a lot! It ranks somewhere in the middle for me but only because Suede have so many 10s in their discography. Hi-Fi and She's In Fashion are among my favourite Suede songs, I love their experiments with electronics on this album. I also think it's the saddest Suede record - definitely the only one I've ever cried to.
'Hi Fi' is one of the songs on there that potentially pointed to a very interesting future for them indeed. The synth line just explodes on that one- and it drives the melody in an enticing and fascinating manner.
I officially broke up with Suede over this album! At the time I absolutely hated it and pretty much stopped listening to them beyond the Bernard stuff until the reunion, when I grabbed a ticket for one of the warm up shows to the Albert Hall Anna fell in love again. I bought the Head Music reissue when it came out and to be fair I think it's a decent if patchy album, I do use the skip button a few times when I play it but there are several really strong songs on it.

Elephant Man Forever!

It's one before last for me, the last being A New Morning of course.
It's not a bad album, but it's not good either.
